Mahalo(A Big Thank You)…

Alarm woke me up in the morning today and I realized that the never tiring earth had again made a rotation (I am sure it’s always on high …why can’t it stand still for a minute?). The winters in Bangalore make you sluggish and the sun here is too lazy to show up. I finally got up to see the world again cursing the person who invented Alarm …

I wanted to know who it was…I opened my laptop and surfed for the name and yes it is Levi Hutchins in 1787. I was pleasantly surprised and realized the power of internet…How easy it is to know any information. I rajinikanthed (googled) for the person who invented Internet and the Google had brought up all the relevant results.DARPA – the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency initiated the process and Tim Berners-Lee played a major role in inventing the internet…After that i looked at my watch and it was asking me about its history….i surfed again for inventor of wrist  Watch (Patek Phillippe),and then this went on with…Geyser(Benjamin Maughan),Refrigerator(John Gorrie)…One after the other… OMG I felt like all these people were standing in front of me. We take all the electronic devices that we use daily for granted and never envisage how much intelligence was involved in bringing up the device….

Devices are just part of life…For a sec i thought What and who  were all behind my sophisticated life..? Some random thoughts were falling in front of me from nowhere like the numbers in the matrix poster.

Things that flashed my mind were…freedom fighters (may be because I watched Khele Hum jee jaan se) yes…they dint fight for freedom…they fought for us…their future generations…If it had not been for them, We would never have been what we are today…. breathing freedom….If soldiers protecting us give up , can we sleep safe at night?If it had not been for Raja Ram Mohan Roy I would have by now been grandmother…… will we do such sacrifices even if paid? May be no…We are trained to this luxurious life.

Farmers, Cobblers, Maids.. They are all unnoticed angels that are part and parcel of our day to day life..Day is gonna stop without these people…May be they are being paid…But What if everyone chose the same profession?

What about people who invented the recipes of various dishes….we are not aware of those names but yes… they played a unrecognized role in our happiness…Yes i am talking about the unknown crowd that is around us on the roads…we don’t know anyone out there..but we are lonely without that crowd….Each element in this crowd is living their own life….but no one realizes how dependent we are, on each other….

Better Late than never …I wanted to thank all the people who were even remotely responsible for my happiness and convenience…who helped me experience this stage of life which some people cannot even think of….Thanks to all the inventors…Thanks to all freedom fighters, soldiers…Thanks to all Social Workers…Thanks to My fore fathers who got educated and passed on the trend , which put me in the place that I am now…Thanks to all my frens for making my life easier….Thanks All of you…

PS: But no…No thanks to the person who included a new zodiac sign and disturbed everyone’s lives…Ophlichius…or whatever…
